A Few Words About Me
I work at Shaw Industries as a Sr. Digital Specialist and have worked in various capacities since 2012. One of the major programs I work on is called Shaw Web Studio, which initially built websites for Residential Flooring Dealers, and now — with my help — has expanded to Shaw Internal sites and Commercial sites.
In an effort to diversify my skillset, I also volunteered to create videos for various Shaw groups, including the Concierge Group, Conexión, Floorigami, and Floorvana. You can find links to each project under Videos.
Feel free to read more about my experiences (and projects) with Shaw under the Marketing tab. You can also see the technical experience I've gained over the years under Technology.
For the past two winters, I have written and directed Christmas plays at my home church. These plays are around an hour in length and feature the adults of our community, with a goal to both entertain and teach. Read more about these under Plays. I am proud of the work we've done so far and look forward to showcasing my fourth play this December.
I am a 2012 graduate of Kennesaw State University, where I received a Bachelor of Science in Communication and a minor in Marketing. While there, I worked for four different publications —Talon Magazine, where I was Managing-Editor; the Sentinel, KSU’s newspaper; Patch.com, a community-based news website; and the Daily Tribune News, a newspaper in Cartersville. I also edited student resumes as a Peer Advocate at KSU's Career Services. Discover more about my experience in this industry under Communication, or peruse past articles in my Blog.
For the past two years I have raised money for the St. Jude Children's Hospital, through an event called Marathon Weekend, where I ran the 10K and later the Half Marathon. You can read about my fundraising and race experiences for 2018 and 2019 on this site.
